Lake Titicaca: Uros-Taquile Island (EAHF12)

Boat transfer across Lake Titicaca to Taquile Island, with a stop at the floating Uros Islands, where locals still use totora reed to build boats and their floating homes. We then continue to Taquile, where we ascend slowly to the community due to the altitude. Here we see locals in colorful traditional dress and, before lunch, enjoy a guided walk through the narrow streets. Along the way, we observe daily life, including textile weaving, trade, livestock care, and farming. The island also offers stunning views over the blue waters of Lake Titicaca.
